At Whitecross Primary School & Nursery Class we place a high priority on our pupils safety. This includes all aspects of technology and e safety. We have a duty to our pupils to raise awareness of these issues as we appreciate that whilst safety and filtering procedures are in place in school, there is no fail safe system and pupils can often be exposed to dangers whilst accessing technology out of school hours not only via computers in particular social networking sites , but also through mobile phone  technology which is continually advancing.  

In school, both staff and pupils adhere to Falkirk Council's acceptable use policy and all stakeholders have training on a regular basis. Our own school policies and procedures on these matters are regularly monitored and evaluated. These can be seen on the next page. 

Parents and carers also have a role to play in promoting e safety at home.
